Venture out into the opposite direction east to make a beeline for Pomona and the Fairplex, home of the Auto Club Raceway and family fun activities, like the LA County Fair, on any given weekend. While not as large or infamous as the "P" cities, Azusa, just a stone's throw from Monrovia, makes an excellent stop for hikers if traveling from east; while there, the Bridge to Nowhere, an arch bridge over the San Gabriel River, is a must-visit.
