Built on gorgeous streets, lined with over 150 restaurants, shops, and wellness services, this is Rancho Cucamonga’s hip claim to fame. Drive down the avenues at night as you take in all the pretty lights and architecture — or lace up your walking shoes and get your steps in for a family fun-filled day.
2. San Gabriel Mountains
Rancho Cucamonga is the closest major city to sit at the foothills of the San Gabriels, making it the perfect home for outdoors-seeking adventurers. Use the city’s proximity to hike and explore the wild. For the extremists in search of a challenge, Cucamonga Peak will hit the spot, while an abundance of flatter paths are available for light strolls.
3. Etiwanda Falls
When you reach the top of Etiwanda Falls, it’s easy to be impressed. Encompassed by incredible views of Etiwanda Canyon nestled in the foothills above Rancho Cucamonga, the Falls culminate at the end of East Etiwanda Creek and a beautiful, flowy waterfall with close walking paths. 4. Route 66
Part of the National Parks Services’ Share Our Heritage travel itinerary, Route 66 is a historic national landmark that just so happens to wind through Rancho Cucamonga. Visit the western end of “The Mother Road”: the Cucamonga Service Station, the Red Chief Motel and the Historic Rains House flank the Rancho Cucamonga stretch.
5. N Mainstreet
Rancho Cucamonga’s North Mainstreet is the epitome of walkable, making it a hidden gem amidst the other, less-than-walkable downtown streets of Southern California. Take the whole family to Mainstreet’s popular Victoria Gardens, or venture toward the outskirts and enjoy the walkable residential paths for a quieter stroll. 6. Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park
While not technically in Rancho Cucamonga itself, Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park, in Ontario, is about a 5-minute drive from town. Here, there are activities and sights to do and see for all ages. Check out the park’s pools, lakes, water features (and a mini water park) and tourist-favorite Top Golf. Fish, picnic, jog and so much more during your trip here — with so much to do, you’ll find yourself wanting to come back for day two.
7. Sports Complex
The city’s sports complex features a basketball stadium, soccer fields, three baseball fields and a must-see sprawling view of the San Gabriels.
