When I was eight years old, I would spend hours pouring over my mom’s Better Homes and Gardensmagazines and rip out tear sheets. And every six months, I’d redecorate my room. I’d also redecorate my friends’ rooms during playdates. I never thought becoming an interior designer was realistic for me, but I pretty much always had a passion for design. So come college time, I majored in computer graphics.
Growing up with a single mom, we were always very aware of money and what we spent it on. I remember shopping at a lot of second-hand stores and flea markets. It wasn’t until I was in high school that I learned to appreciate higher-end and designer products. So when you combine my early years of scrimping with my love of luxury goods, my current motto was born: Luxe living for less.
The thing I like best about being a blogger is how it keeps you on your toes. It’s very sink or swim, which helps keep things exciting! If, for some reason, I decided not to blog anymore, I’d probably still be super involved with social media. Maybe I’d just focus on YouTube or Instagram. . . or whatever social media channel comes next! The possibilities are endless.
