The History of Wood Kitchen Islands
Did you know that kitchen islands rose to fame during the height of mid-century modernism? This was when homes developed a more open-source floor plan – kitchens included. As a result of this extra space, homeowners were suddenly allowed to design their kitchens with bigger pieces – and many started with the design we all now know as ‘the kitchen island.’
